SCA is a New Deal provider
SCA have 27 years successful experience of working with
long-term unemployed people, providing support, training and valuable
work experience through the available Intermediate Labour Market Programmes,
benefiting the individual and the community of Belfast.
SCA provides
exciting training and employment opportunities under the terms of the
New Deal Programme.
These
opportunities extend to include Retail, including window displays, merchandising,
stock control and customer Care, Administration working within the Association’s
Head Office gaining a range of valuable experience, reception duties,
Information Technology, filing, photocopying, administration and customer
care.
Maybe driving duties would appeal to you, driving SCA’s
van collecting donations of clothes and furniture, dealing with the
general public and assisting with SCA’s dynamic Retail Outlets.
The range of opportunities also extends to include
working within SCA’s Day Centre for elderly people as a Minibus Driver,
Care Assistant or in the field of Catering or as a member of the Painting
and Decorating Project.
SCA will offer you employment experience with the
opportunity of accredited training, a high level of support, job search
skills and an up to date C.V.

'Into Learning'
The
Into Learning Programme is a twelve-week course introducing people to
computers and associated skills such as file management, email, the
Internet and MS Word . There are no entry requirements and no tests
and throughout the course participants have continual one to one support
from our qualified staff. Due to the relaxed, friendly, team atmosphere
the amount of people successfully completing the programme is very high.
At the end of the course participants are proficient in the use of email,
searching the Internet, can write letters and much more.
