S.C.A.
Ltd Moving Forward Positively In response To Need
S.C.A.
continue to provide an extensive range of services in response to need.
S.C.A. also continue to monitor and assess the areas of service, which
could be developed or new services initiated.
S.C.A.
are currently looking at the demands of carers and their unmet needs and
exploring in conjunction with carers and North and West Belfast Health
and Social Service Trust, the development of a service to meet those needs.
S.C.A.
are also exploring the issues facing ethnic minorities. There has been
an increase in the ethnic groups moving to Northern Ireland and there
unfortunately has been a heightened growth in racial discrimination and
racial attacks.
S.C.A.’s aim in conjunction with Statutory and Voluntary Agencies,
is to explore the issues with all the stakeholders and agree on a strategy
on moving forward and to provide support and advice to assist this process.
The objective of this service would work towards ensuring that carers
have the right to have their own health needs met, to recognise the need
for better sources of information and to ensure that adequate support
is provided to carers, that they are actively involved in service planning
and services are tailored to meet the users and carers needs.
